League Types
» Basic Leagues – Consist of your traditional fantasy football leagues, which includes a Live Online Draft at the start of the season, a regular season and playoff schedule at the end of the season.
» Individual Defensive Player (IDP) – IDP leagues allow franchise owners to truly test their managerial skill level. Franchise owners draft and manage individual defensive players as well as offensive players.
» Keeper Leagues – These types of leagues allow owners to maintain the same fantasy franchise from season to season. Owners will keep one (1) player from each position from the previous season.
» Dynasty Leagues – Are the ultimate in fantasy football management. Franchise owners keep their entire player roster from season to season, and will hold a rookie draft at the beginning of each season.
» Crystal Leagues – Crystal leagues allow multiple franchises within the same league to have the same NFL player on their roster. Players are separated by division.

Live Online Draft
All of FantasyGemz Fantasy Football leagues will hold a LIVE ONLINE DRAFT. When your draft is set to begin, choose the ‘OWNERS’ option from the floating menu on your leagues home page. Then select the ‘DRAFT’ option. This will take you to the Live Online Draft Room. Once there, login to your franchise and you will be ready to draft, or if you like, perform a ‘pre-draft’. We strongly suggest that you familiarize yourself with the Live Online Draft Room and the pre-drafting process before your draft actually begins. Each owner will have the opportunity to pre-draft for any round before and during the draft. We recommend pre-drafting, because it speeds up the draft and enables owners to be prepared when it is their turn to draft. Owners should try to arrive 10 minutes before their draft is scheduled to begin.
Owners will select their players in a serpentine draft. Owners will have 90 seconds per round to make their selection. 10 and 12 team league drafts will consist of 14 rounds. IDP league drafts will consist of 16 rounds. In a serpentine draft, the draft order rotates each round. The team with the first pick of the draft will draft first, the team with the second pick will draft second, and so on through the last pick in the round. In each following round, the order is reversed.
Note: Any pre-draft picks submitted by an owner will be selected as soon as it is that owner's turn to pick for that given pick of the draft. In other words, if you have submitted pre-draft picks for round 2 of your draft, as soon as the team before you in round 2 picks, the system will go through your pre-draft list at that time and make your pick for you even if you are actively logged into the draft. If an owner has to step away from his computer for whatever reason during a live draft, he may want to pre-draft for an upcoming round or two while he is away, so the system can automatically make his picks for him. If for any reason an owner does not make their selection before their time is up; as soon as their time expires, our software will automatically select the best available player for that team. HOWEVER, if an owner misses two picks in a row, or three picks total throughout the draft, selections will be automatically made by the system for that owner from that point on.
New Keeper and Dynasty Leagues: A Live Online Draft will take place to form each owner’s original roster.
Existing Keeper Leagues: will hold a Live Online Draft consisting of 9 rounds to refill their roster.
Existing Keeper IDP Leagues: will hold a Live Online Draft consisting of 13 rounds to refill their roster.
Existing Dynasty Leagues: will hold a Live Online Rookie Draft consisting of 2 rounds to upgrade their roster.
Existing Dynasty IDP Leagues: will hold a Live Online Rookie Draft consisting of 4 rounds to upgrade their roster.
NOTE: Existing Keeper/Dynasty league draft dates will be determined by a league wide vote of owners in good standing.

Team Rosters
Each fantasy player is only allowed to be on 1 roster per league and partial lineups are not allowed. Keeper/Dynasty team owners are required to remove the appropriate amount of players when adding players during the off season either thru Free Agency or the Draft so as not to exceed the maximum roster limit.
10 and 12-Team leagues have a maximum roster size of 14 players. IDP leagues have a maximum roster size of 20 players.
Crystal leagues allow multiple franchises to have the same NFL player on their roster. Players are separated by division. This means players can only be on one roster in each division at any given time.
(i.e., Jones can be on Team A's roster and Team B's roster at the same time, because they are in different divisions, but Jones cannot be on Team A's roster and Team C's roster at the same time, because they are in the same division).
Below are charts indicating how many players you MUST start at each position for each type of league.

Trades
Owners can trade players as well as current and future draft picks. When two owners agree upon a trade, it is immediately executed. If two or more owners object to the trade, the objecting owner(s) must email the commissioner within 24 hours to dispute the trade. The trade will then be subject to a league wide vote for 48 hours. The trade is automatically rejected if six (6) "Reject" votes are cast (the votes of the owners involved in the trade in question will not be counted). A missing vote from an owner at the time the poll is over is considered an "Accept" vote. If a trade is reverted, all points for players involved in the trade will be attributed to their original teams. Players are not allowed to be traded back to their original team until after four games have passed. Trades are not allowed following week 10 of your fantasy league schedule.
______________________________________________________________________________
Free Agency/Waiver
Waiver requests can be submitted from Sunday's kickoff through Thursday midnight ET. Then free agents can be acquired on a first come, first serve basis through kickoff of the first game of the following week. Waivers end on week 17 kickoff. Free Agent transactions are not allowed once that owner’s team has been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
______________________________________________________________________________
Playoffs
12-Team Leagues:
12 team leagues will hold a three (3) week playoff. A total of eight (8) teams will qualify for the playoffs following the regular season. The three (3) division leaders based on won/lost record will be the top 3 seeds along with five (5) wildcard teams. The wildcard teams will be the teams which possess the best won/lost record regardless of division, excluding the 3 divisional leaders.
______________________________________________________________________________
Vacant Franchises
If a keeper or dynasty leagues has openings following the end of any given season, or should become vacant prior to the conclusion of the regular season, every effort will be made to locate replacement owners to manage the franchise to the seasons end. Until such time, the commissioner will manage the franchise. New owners to an existing keeper or dynasty league will inherit that franchises entire roster.
______________________________________________________________________________
AWOL Owners
If an owner is AWOL, the Commissioner has the discretion to freeze the owners\’ franchise. Franchises that have been frozen by the Commissioner can only be unfrozen by that franchises owner. A written explanation must be submitted to the commissioner prior to the next scheduled week's kickoff. If an explanation is not submitted by the next scheduled week's kickoff time, the franchise will be managed by the Commissioner until a replacement owner is found. Commissioner owned franchises are NOT eligible for cash prizes. Should a Commissioner owned franchise become eligible to receive a cash prize, the prize will be divided evenly among the remaining playoff teams.
Grounds For Removal
The following conditions classify an owner as AWOL and eligible to have their franchise frozen:
*An owner fails to attend the Live Online Draft for two (2) consecutive seasons
*An owner fails to submit an active starting lineup for more than any three week period in any given season.
*Continued use of profane or inappropriate language/images on league web sites.
