Are fantasy sports considered gambling?

No, fantasy sports is not considered gambling. Due to the nature of fantasy sports, all games are considered games of skill. FantasyGemz Fantasy Gamez recognizes games of skill as games where the elements of skill are clearly predominate over those of chance. Awards go to the person(s) most skilled in compiling a fantasy team.

How is the draft order decided?

The first round of the draft is determined randomly. The subsequent rounds follow a serpentine format. In a serpentine format, the order of teams reverses each round. The team with the first pick in the draft would draft first, the team with the second pick would draft second, and so on through the last pick in the round. In round 2, the team with the last pick in round 1 would pick first. While the team with the first pick in round 1 would pick last.

Example:

                Round One:    4,1,3,2,5 (determined randomly)

                Round Two:   5,2,3,1,4

                Round Three:  4,1,3,2,5

                Round Four:   5,2,3,1,4

And so on until the end of the draft.

How are the cash prizes distributed?

In keeper leagues, do we have to keep 5 or can we keep less than that and get extra draft picks?

Owners are required to keep no more than five (5) "Franchise" players from the previous years roster in a Basic Gem League and no more than (7) franchise players in an IDP league. The franchise players must consist of one player from each position. Owners are allowed to keep less than the required number of franchise players if they choose to do so however, there is no compensation for doing so.

What is a Dynasty League?
